Overview
Designed and built a Stirling heat engine, taking the project from CAD and drawing creation through machining, assembly, and iteration.
My Role
- Designed custom engine components and prepared manufacturing drawings for approval prior to machining.
- Manufactured precision components using CNC mills and lathes while balancing tolerances and assembly requirements.
- Used GD&T, DFMA, and tolerance stack-up analysis to improve part fit.
- Refined components through multiple iterations based on machining constraints and assembly feedback.
